Paphos Ramblers

The Paphos Ramblers is a friendly walking group that walks each Tuesday morning usually meeting at 0945 for a 1000 start.  Walks are generally between 5 and 10kms long and usually take place anywhere in the western end of the island, depending on the choice of the designated walk leader for that day.  Occasionally walks are arranged further afield, for example in the Troodos or Kyrenia, involving stays of a few days.  The pace is not forced so that everyone can keep up and enjoy the wonderful scenery that is to be found on the island.  After each of these walks, the walk leader takes us to a nearby taverna of his or her choice for a lunch and a few Keos at about 1300.  Walk leaders come from all members of the group, so everyone gets a turn at taking the group on their favourite walks.

In addition to the Tuesday morning walks, a sub group has recently been formed for those who enjoy more challenging walks.  This group walks twice a month on a Thursday morning, usually meeting at 0945 for a 1000 start.  Group members usually takes a picnic to eat either during or after the walk.

The Paphos Ramblers was started in mid 2007 and has currently about 45 members in total, of whom 20 - 25 walk on any one day.  These are about the maximum numbers that we can manage comfortably on our walks and in some of the tavernas afterwards, so we have recently caped our membership.

However, people come and people go, so the numbers fluctuate and we are always pleased to hear from potential new members.
