UKCA SINGLES FRIENDSHIP GROUP
We are a loosely knitted group of like-minded friends: all individuals, all busy but desiring to incorporate more single friendships into our already full lives.
The contact list of members is now thirty eight. Women do outnumber the men slightly (!) but we are ever hopeful that more single men will join in the near future. I am told that single men are shyer than single women – surely not.
The events that the group has enjoyed have been varied. Ever popular is the restaurant/taverna night that includes lots of chat, laughter and of course eating and drinking. A Stage One Theatre night was arranged with supper at ‘Tweedies’ before seeing the play. Two cinema nights have been successful and a visit to the Kolios Winery included lunch and a tour of the winery for those members who could make the trip. We have practiced our golf swings at the mini golf range and limbered up at a Ten Pin Bowling venue with supper afterwards. A boat trip with swimming and bbq lunch was enjoyed by all, American Suppers are always popular, as are beach bbq’s and/or picnic’s.
There is no joining fee for the Singles Friendship Group; however we all make a small monthly contribution (€2) to help with the cost of stationery. We only ask that you are a fully paid up member of the UKCA, single and desire to be an active member of the group with fresh ideas and enthusiasm to share.
If you are single and wish to improve your circle of friends then why not join us. Please remember to bring your UKCA membership card to your first meeting.
